Construction Process

Our construction process begins with the initial meeting.  Together we discuss your project to determine if we are good fit and can bring your vision to life .  You will come prepared with an idea of your budget and any questions that you will have for us.  We will review the steps to building a house with us or renovating.  As a professional building company, this initial step is critical to ensure that you get the best possible information to start your building or renovation journey.

The second step in our process is concept development.  You will work with our in-house design team to create a conceptual plan of your project and establish an estimated cost for construction.  Renderings and 3D tours throughout the project are a huge part of what we do to help you understand what the layout will look and feel like.  If you already have a design we will work with that as well.  Often we will take over the design process at that stage.

As a professional building company, we strive to ensure that we get all of the details right so that we know what we are building and how much it will cost before we get started.  In this detailed step to building or renovating, we get more granular with all of the details.  This part of the construction process results in a refined plan, engineering completed, selections substantially completed, and a permit ready package.  We will prepare a final fixed price contract with some allowances for items that were not quite decided on.   For smaller project, this is completed with step 2.

Once we have a deposit for the project we will put your project into one of our upcoming construction slots. 

Now the construction process gets exciting as we start to bring your custom home or renovation to reality.   This process is where we really get to know each other.  Our number one goal in the build phase is to keep you informed with regular communication so that you enjoy the process of watching your home being built.  We use Buildertrend software for project management and communication with you along with site meetings and meetings in our Prince George showroom and design studio.
